FAQ

Can I buy you in-store anywhere?

Right now we only live on the internet at kipandboo.com

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Afterpay and – if you’re one of our children – head massages.

Do you ship outside Australia?

We love a bit of travel. Right now, we go to the US, the UK, Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong, Canada and New Zealand. If you are outside of these countries send us an email to discuss options.

Do you offer free shipping?

We sure do – we send orders over $99 via express post within Australia at no extra cost.

How much is shipping?

We charge $9.95 for standard and $14.95 for express postage within Australia, unless you spend over $99 in which case we’ll send it express for free.

For international orders, postage is $20.

Which delivery company do you use?

We ship orders with Australia Post and Australia Post International.

How long does delivery take?

Australia Post recommends allowing 10 business days for standard post and 5 business days for express post within Australia.

For international orders, allow 25 business days.

When will you send my order?

We aim to pick, pack and post all orders within 3 business days.

What happens if my item isn’t delivered?

If we’re responsible for the item not being delivered, we’ll work with you to fix it.

However, if the reason for non-delivery was out of our hands, you’ll need to cover any re-shipping costs. This might be because:

  • the delivery details were incorrect/incomplete,
  • the recipient couldn’t be reached on multiple attempts, or
  • the recipient didn’t pay necessary import duties

Can I track my order?

Sure can – once Australia Post processes your package, they’ll send an email with tracking details.

Will I have to pay duties or taxes?

If the delivery address is outside of Australia, you might. It’s best to check with the customs office of the country you’re sending to before placing your order, as we’re not responsible for any of these costs.

I’ve just placed an order and I can see something’s wrong – what do I do?

Oh no! If your item hasn’t been dispatched yet, we might still be able to change it for you. Email us as soon as you can at hello@kipandboo.com

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, we offer electronic gift cards in $10.00, $25.00, $50.00, $100.00 and $150.00 denominations, perfect for surprising your loved ones with the gift of sustainable and luxurious bamboo sleepwear

Do you do gift wrapping?

We don’t offer gift wrapping. If you’re buying our PJs as a gift, we recommend holding it behind your back with an excited smile on your face instead.

What’s your sleepwear made of?

Our sleepwear is made of bamboo viscose, which we reckon is the absolutely best thing you can wear to bed. It’s super soft, breathable and thermo-regulating, which means you’re comfortable in just about every way (and why we designed them to look at home beyond your bedroom too).

What’s bamboo viscose?

It’s a material that processes wood pulp (in this case from a bamboo plant) to the point that it can be spun into threads, which form the base of the fabric we use.

Are there any special care instructions?

We recommend washing your Kip & Boo items in a cold wash with similar colours. Leave them to dry on the line away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. We don’t recommend using bleach, tumble drying or dry cleaning. If you’re an iron-lover, make sure you’re on a cool setting.

How do I choose the right size?

Take a look at our size guide to figure out which of our sizes will fit you best.

Your loungewear looks pretty smart – could I wear it out?

That’s exactly what it’s made for. We keep our designs slick and smart so that if the day starts to run away from you, you’ll definitely be able to pull off a public outing without anyone knowing you’re in your PJs. Phew.

Where is Kip & Boo sleepwear made?

Our items are made in China by a company that specialises in sleepwear and loungewear. They’re audited by Amfori BCSI, whose code of conduct takes into account a broad range of conventions and recommendations for improving working conditions in the supply chain, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Labour Organization (ILO).

Our bamboo fabric is also made by a manufacturer in China, and is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means it’s been tested to the highest standard and found to contain no harmful substances.

Why bamboo?

We’re glad you asked. Bamboo fabric is incredibly soft with a texture like silk – smooth and luxurious – and gentle on sensitive skin. It keeps you dry by wicking sweat real quick (seeya later night sweats), as well as being antibacterial. This means the material stays fresher and odour-free for longer.

As materials go, it’s one of the most environmentally friendly you can find. Cutting down bamboo is a lot different from cutting down a tree. As a type of grass, it grows back – fast – without the need for pesticides or fertilisers. Like a really nice weed.

The fabric itself is super sturdy, too, which means they’ll last you longer – that extra piece of the sustainability puzzle we often overlook. By buying materials that last longer naturally, we minimise the production needed to replace them.
